“I obtained my Bachelor's in Health Care Administration from Mary Baldwin University (go Squirrels!). I then obtained my Master’s in Public Health (MPH) and Doctorate in Health Sciences (DHSc) from Eastern Virginia Medical School. My family has deep roots in Appalachia and this probably contributed to my desire to work with people in rural and underserved communities. I am also passionate about prevention and women’s health work. Outside of the office, I enjoy traveling, cooking, gardening, running, and spending time with my husband, daughter, and our fur-monster (dog), Newton.”
