PositiveLinks Research
The original program pilot and implementation research for the PositiveLinks Program was conducted by Rebecca Dillingham M.D., M.P.H., and Karen Ingersoll, Ph.D. at the University of Virginia's Ryan White Clinic. The project was supported by AIDS United and the M-A-C AIDS Fund. Health Decision Technologies developed the PositiveLinks platform in collaboration with UVA. A broader implementation of PositiveLinks that included automated integration of patient lab values and appointment data was made possible by funding from the Virginia Department of Health.
PositiveLinks has been developed in collaboration with participants and stakeholders, and piloted at the University of Virginia's Ryan White Clinic. The program was so successful at the Ryan White Clinic that PositiveLinks is now a component of Usual Care. This means PositiveLinks is an ‘opt-out’ aspect of usual partnered care rather than an ‘opt-in’ research program. The PositiveLinks Team continues to enhance, expand, and integrate PositiveLinks more thoroughly into Usual Care and to improve care continuum metrics.
